ReMed rules
ReMed is a support network for doctors. Its objective is to keep doctors functioning effectively and to guarantee patient safety. ReMed disseminates knowledge and experience of health promotion and prevention to doctors and supports them in crisis situations. The support network bases its approach on general statutory requirements and on the Code of Conduct of the FMH. ReMed is an independent organisation of doctors themselves, funded by the FMH.
The services offered are founded on confidentiality and on the personal responsibility of individual doctors. Specific steps are implemented with the consent of the doctor concerned. The doctor seeking advice enjoys the same rights as other patients within ReMed from the time of first contact: medical confidentiality applies. ReMed is not a supervisory body and has authority neither to conduct investigations nor to impose sanctions.
